In passive sentences, the thing receiving the action is the subject of the sentence and the thing doing the action is optionally included near the end of the sentence. You can use the passive form if you think that the thing receiving the action is more important or should be emphasized. You can also use the passive form if you do not know who is doing the action or if you do not want to mention who is doing the action. Sometimes I teach people with a promising future sometimes I teach people doomed with no future because they have chosen not to learn anything or not behave properly. They have chosen the road to hell. Parents don´t care and our community doesn´t worry about them while they are at school. When they are over 18 then there are schools for adults. Spain is a strange country where students take a course/ grade and repeat and repeat without a good reason. Some of those students blame  the teachers  and accused them of being bad teachers or bad entertainers because they get bored during lessons but in their same classes the hard-working students thrive and get "top marks" and distinctions so teachers cannot be that "bad". Being at school longer than necessary by "repeating" for those who don´t study, don´t do homework, don´t respect their classmates, don´t respect their teachers´work because they are not working hard enough though they

  If you are a student  in  2º Bachillerato 1,  you are supposed to read pages 120, 121, 122 & 123 of the SB.  After reading them you will understand the following scheme better. The grammar gist of  unit  4 has been studied  previously in 4º ESO and in 1º Bachillerato.   REPORTING VERBS: These verbs are used for introducing the sentences in reported speech. BACKSHIT- We use this word to talk about the changes to the past of the conjugated verbs. 2º Bachilerato 1 WB: CORRECTION  PAGES 27 AND 28 SB: DONE PAGES 36-37 on the same gramar point, which were homework, but unfortunately we ran out of time and couldn´t correct them in the class. All these exercises and the homework page should be REVISED . HOMEWORK: WB, PAGE 29 Next day we will complete a paper on complex sentences INCLUDING gramar points studied in units 1, 2 and 3. My idea is showing the students how I am asking these topics in the evaluation text. I have also encourage them to draw a summary/scheme of unit 3 linkers of constrast, purpose, reason and result.                                                              COMPLEX SENTENCES  (AFTER READING THE GRAMMAR APPENDIX, SB PAGES 119-120) A complex sentence is made up of a simple sentence (a complete statement or a definite clause) and a statement that begins with a dependent word, linking word, connector or conjunction. Here is a list of common dependent words: after although/  th
