Happy Thanksgiving

Imagen
Thanksgiving Day is a national holiday celebrated primarily in the United States and Canada as a day of giving thanks for the blessing of the harvest and of the preceding year. Several other places around the world observe similar celebrations. It is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November in the United States and on the second Monday of October in Canada. Thanksgiving has its historical roots in religious and cultural traditions, and has long been celebrated in a secular manner as well.   In the United States, the modern Thanksgiving holiday tradition is commonly, but not universally, traced to a poorly documented 1621 celebration at Plymouth in present-day Massachusetts. The 1621 Plymouth feast and thanksgiving was prompted by a good harvest. Pilgrims and Puritans who began emigrating from England in the 1620s and 1630s carried the tradition of Days of Fasting and Days of Thanksgiving with them to New England. Several days of Thanksgiving were held in early New E

Institutional care was the target of widespread criticism during the 1960s and 1970s, but it was not until 1983 that the government of Margaret Thatcher adopted a new policy of care after the Audit Commission published a report called '

Benefits and Risks of Facebook

Imagen
The invention of the Internet brought along with it a mind-boggling number of websites that are used for all sorts of things. Most of these websites and their services make our lives easier, but everything has its drawbacks and social networking sites, like Facebook are no exception. The controversy begins to swirl when users weigh the pros and cons of the site. Do the potentially hazardous risks of using Facebook outweigh the benefits and connectivity that it offers? In today’s world, it’s not about who you know, but more so about the people that know and have a connection with you. Facebook has been the number one facilitator of that theory for more than half a decade. By now, anyone who knows anything about social networking uses Facebook everyday or at least has an account. The reason there are 500 million people registered to the site is because Facebook gives users the ability to connect with people they see everyday or one's they haven't seen for years. Facebook is

No good..uno de esos días en que nada te sale bien!

Everyone has (had) bad days.  You forget your homework  or leave your lunch at home.  Someone says something rude or uncaring.  The money you thought was in the bank  has been spent.  You wake up feeling sick on the day  of an important job interview. All of these things are  no good .  It sounds like bad grammar…  nd maybe it is… but instead of saying  “not good,” it’s also OK to say  no good .  Your bicycle has a flat tire? That’s  no good .  You can’t find your favorite jeans? That’s  no good .  You fall and break your ankle?  That’s definitely  no good !  To be  no good  is to be unfortunate,  disappointing, sad, or just plain terrible. It isn’t only situations that are described this way.  No good  is also used to talk about something  that has stopped working.  Your broken cell phone,  your computer that won’t start,  the refrigerator that won’t stay cold…  all of these things are  no good . taken from e-b

Finished with my woman 'cause she couldn't help me with my mind People think I'm insane because I am frowning all the time All day long I think of things but nothing seems to satisfy Think I'll lose my mind if I don't find something to pacify Can you help me, occupy my brain? Oh yeah I need someone to show me the things in life that I can't find I can't see the things that make true happiness, I must be blind Make a joke and I will sigh and you will laugh and I will cry Happiness I cannot feel and love to me is so unreal And so as you hear these words telling you now of my state I tell you to enjoy life I wish I could but it's too late

YOU WON´T KEEP FIT BEING A COACH POTATO.   MAKING SOME MISTAKES IS THE FIRST STEP TO GET BETTER, IF YOU LEARN HOW TO CORRECT THEM AND TRY TO IMPROVE, THEN YOU ARE IMPROVING
